Ramses II's Zero Emissions Chariot

From Chariot to Global Electric Motorcar

Vehicles have come a long long way since the original zero emissions vehicle (ZEV), the chariot. Through the ages we've moved on to carriages, streetcars, wagons, trolleys, and motorcars. These motor vehicles polluted the skies with their noxious gas emissions. A foul plague indeed!

Luckily innovators are hearkening back to the zero emission days of the chariot, through vehicles called neighborhood electric vehicles. Though not all of these are necessarily ZEVs, those produced by the American company Global Electric Motorcars (Green Eco-Mobility) are.

What is Global Electric Motorcars (GEM)?

GEM is a North Dakota based company that is owned by Chrysler. It started producing low-speed electric vehicles in 1998, and it's neighborhood electric vehicles, or NEVs, are street legal in all fifty states on streets with posted speed limits below 35 miles per hour. They typically have a range of 30 miles per charge and are primarily used in urban environments. GEM vehicles serve a variety of purposes, including such varied tasks as Italian military vehicles and tourist sight-seeing cars.

The Peapod NEV is a shoot off of the standard GEM models. This is Chrysler's attempt to capture a portion of the green intercity ZEV market. They are radically designed and interact with Apple's iPods in strange ways. For instance, one can use an iPod to start the electric vehicle's ignition!

Where To Buy a GEM Electric Car?

There's a handy dealer locator on the GEM website.  Out of 150 licensed GEM dealers in the United States you're sure to find one fairly close by.

Prince Moses- I do believe hubmob is all the better for your presence and your fine writing skills. I am glad you didn't present your hub on a stone tablet.

I am not worthy of your praise! All adulation belongs to the G-d of my people.

Okay, send him a message for me that I liked it. He's not a big fan of mine since I have ignored many of his commandments.

Here is the camel you have sought. Go, proclaim liberty throughout all the land, and to all the inhabitants thereof.

Seems this HubPage system is biased against Hebrew characters. That being said, I bid thee farewell.

Shalom, Prince. Welcome to Hub Pages. I am sure you will add that little "je ne sais quoi" we were missing. I look forward to reading more of your epistles (sorry, that may be too recent an analogy for you, lol). As a great Canadian philosoper once said, "Keep your stick on the ice" - perhaps, though, in your case it should be modified to read, "Keep your staff on the papyrus..." ?

Indeed, BetsyIckes, the the gasoline fueled vehicles of today will soon pass into history; mere relics not at all unlike the pylons and obelisks of Rameses himself.

And RedElf, I was given this staff to rule over scorpions and serpents in the desert. But G-d made it a rod to rule over kings. I shall dwell in this land.
